Well, some shit hit the fan. Long story short I am working on a portfolio for stuff...

Can't figure out how to get pictures off my new phone (read: too lazy to). So an update to remind myself I need to get on this shit.

Recent caricature of Ron Paul. Finished it last night. I'm happy with the level of creepiness here.

Nothing especially indicative of what I've been up to. But a variety. Also stuff I scanned and photographed months ago, so I did absolutely no work this morning.

Off to LA this weekend to see Weird Al and draw animals at the zoo and exhibits at the museums.

Longer poses. ROFL. First drawing, first day back. Rust very apparent, very hilarious proportions. (Drawn on the drawing horse too. S'all about the easels)
A bit of perspective/foreshortening in the mix. Around 1 hr 20min. (Granted, I finished at 30/40 and spent the rest of class in the painting studio and at 7-11.)
50 min.
30 min a piece. I have never gotten this models face right... Shame me.
45 min pose. I spent 20, which was a mistake mistake mistake. More time planning the contour next time. (:cough:theback&butt:cough:)

Some short poses. I am very rusty, not happy with any of these, but that's the point of continuous improvement.

Unsure, prob. 3-5 minutes Graphite stick
5-7 minutes. Sharpie
3-5 min. Pencil
3 min. Sharpie
Unsure of the time. We were made to draw with our right and left hand, mirroring the figure. My left hand is a douche.
Some 30 sec. some 2 min. I need to start writing down times. Charcoal
2-3 min.
30 - 45 sec.
3-5 min. Stick and ink
45 sec. Stick and ink

Title? That kind of on the spot onomatopoeia.

Short poses. 2 minutes.

Long poses. Ranges from 10-20. I'll figure it out later.

Sketchbook stuff! They are all drawings from life save this first one: Its from my spectacular imagination. :DMy left hand. One or two are of my right, drawn w/ my left I think.

Some classes are very very very boring... Actually, this was an empty classroom that I just set up shop in for a little bit, hahaha.

Forgot about this. Jazz band concert at GVHS last year. Ahh, do I miss High School... Wait... ? No I don't! Woah, lost my head for a moment there.

Really, I miss it. It was great. Don't miss it enough to go back though. Oh no, never.
Actually, this may be from a picture. I need to start writing down details.
I love the cranes. I have a lot more of these. Some paintings in progress even.

I've been drawing a lot, but ain't really been drawin' anything substantial. Nothing big and sell-able that is. I could sell sketches, but profit margin there would be in the fractions of a dollar.

No, I think I'll wait until I get some fresh paintin's done!

It was a long pose night, therefore not much to show. I always botch up the long poses. Why?

They say the quicker you are the more accurate. The more accurate you are, the quickly your likely to be.

That's what I'm counting on then!

Two of the ones I sort of like right now. This will change come morning. They're terrible quality, but you can kind of tell what is going on... I guess.

An older bunch of drawings. Huuuuuuuupe, I misplaced these too. I just took pictures of the weird ones to show some folks what new stuff I was trying. The ones I actually liked are yet to be photoed. I don't know why I wait so long to photograph my work...

Few weeks ago, i.e. even older drawings! Gasp. There are more, and better ones in my opinion. But I started hiding my drawing somewhere. Somewhere I can't remember.

I lost my double bass once, if that gives you an idea. Though, I did know its general position, I just stacked so much stuff around it...

Don't doubt my ability to misplace large things.

Really. Don't do it.

Tiny and/or really important things? I can do those. I'm probably one of the best people to trust on that front.
